Yass Public School Parents and Citizens Association is a group of interested and positive parents whose aim is to enhance the educational opportunities of all students at YPS, by raising funds for the school and providing a core of support for its programs and projects.
Special events are organised throughout the year, and a feature of these events is the bringing of teachers, parents and students together. Families are invited to attend and take the opportunity to meet new friends, as well as finding out more about and supporting the school.
Major fundraising events run throughout the year include:
- Uniform shop
- Murrumbateman Field Days
- Holiday raffle
- Colour run
The P&C meets the third Wednesday of the month during term in the Benton Building at 5.00pm.
The P&C operates the Canteen on Tuesdays and Fridays during Term, and the Uniform Shop which is open on Friday afternoons 2:30-3:30pm.

Canteen Menu
The NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy, launched in February 2017, supports a culture of healthy eating in school by promoting and increasing student access to healthier foods and drinks, supporting water as a drink of choice, and making a healthy choice an easy choice.
Our Canteen menu is updated each term, using fresh, seasonal produce to give our children healthy, delicious food. We are proud to have qualified for the NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy again in 2022.
Uniform shop
The P&C Association runs the uniform shop and aims to assist our school in two ways. Firstly to ensure our children are well dressed, in qualify uniform, at a reasonable cost to our YPS families. Secondly to fundraise to provide financial assistance for programs and resources for the school. Your support of the Uniform Shop assists us in these aims, and wearing the correct uniform helps our students develop a feeling of community, and a sense of pride in their school.
